This particular example is number 268 of the 300. Just like all of the others when new, it packs a naturally-aspirated V8 with 385 hp (287 kW) and 385 lb-ft (521 Nm) of torque under the hood.
It sends that power to the rear wheels only via a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. It might not sound like much when compared to today’s Mustang GT500, but back in 2000, this was a groundbreaking sports car boasting more torque and nearly as much horsepower as a Ferrari 360 Modena.
