CARSCOOPS:Ford’s new Bronco lineup encompasses everything from basic street trucks to the high performance Raptor and off-road-focused Badlands. But some buyers always want more. Specifically, more axles. And once again, Apocalypse Manufacturing has delivered.
Instead of making the same 330-horsepower as the normal Bronco, the Dark Horse’s twin turbocharging V6 makes 400 horses. That’s on par with the new Bronco Raptor and the Hennessey Velociraptor Bronco. Of course, neither of those vehicles has the additional heft of dealing with all the components included in a 6×6 conversion.
Those components include 20-inch SFJ wheels, 37-inch Patagonia tires, a 4-inch lift kit, steel side steps, and a steel front bumper that’s been coated in Kevlar. Inside of the Dark Horse, you’ll find a King Ranch-esque trim package including dark brown leather on both the seats and the doors. As for pricing, details haven’t been announced yet.
