CARSCOOPS:This 911 SC spent most of its life just like any other but earlier this year, it was converted into a safari-style car thanks to Mayo Performance Specialties of Euless in Texas. As part of the upgrades, the car was fitted with a rally-lamp pod from TRE Motorsports, a stainless-steel roof rack with mahogany wood slats, and 15-nch phone-dial wheels wrapped in General Grabber AT² tires.
Powering the 911 SC is a 3.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six featuring Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and producing 172 hp and 175 lb-ft (237 Nm) of torque when it was new. The car has been equipped with a Dansk stainless-steel bypass pipe and a stainless-steel muffler. It has 132,000 miles (~212,000 km) under its belt.
