CARSCOOPS:The black Porsche 911 Turbo that appeared in the original 1995 film “Bad Boys” will be auctioned this January in Kissimmee, Florida by Mecum. This is the actual car that was driven by Will Smith’s character as proven by certificates of authenticity from both Porsche and Columbia Pictures.
The iconic movie car is a late example of the 964 Turbo 3.6 from 1994. Besides the screen time, it is a sought-after classic because of its rarity, since Porsche only produced this specific variant of the Turbo in 1993 and 1994 with less than 350 units for the U.S. market. The turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine produced 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque, sending power to the rear axle through a five-speed manual gearbox.
