CARSCOOPS:Audi only ever built 333 examples of the R8 GT Spyder worldwide and this is one of just 50 that were delivered to the U.S. market. The exterior is finished in Audi Exclusive red with a black power-retractable soft top as well as a gloss carbon fiber front splitter, wing mirrors, and rear wing. The car is being sold with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, an R8 presentation box, wind deflector, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The German car manufacturer introduced the first-generation R8 GT in Coupe guise in mid-2010. Compared to the standard R8 V10, it weighed 100 kg (220 lbs) less and power from the 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine was increased to 552 hp at 8,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) at 6,500 rpm. The R8 GT Spyder was unveiled the following year and followed a similar formula with less weight and more power.
